We’re excited to announce the arrival of Gaspare Vinci, a brand new line of wines fresh off the boat from Sicily. An expert on the island’s grape varieties and viticultural traditions, Sicilian winemaker Gaspare Vinci didn’t require much encouragement to begin bottling wine exclusively for the U.S. under his own eponymous label. Previously he had worked as a consulting enologist, one that performs the task of making wine — or advises on its production — for other wineries, most recently for the northern wine firm Noi Negociants.

Gaspare hails from Marsala, a seaport at the westernmost tip of the island (as well as the name of the local fortified wine). Drawing on his experience of the whole island, Gaspare sourced fruit from vines he’s tended for decades to bring us four native varietal wines representing territories from Agrigento to Trapani. Grillo, Bianco d’Alcamo DOP (Cataratto), Nero d’Avola and Nerello Mascalese have been bottled in screw-capped liters and are available now!
If you prefer to try before you buy, we’ll be pouring all four wines this Friday from 5:30-7:30pm!
