Located in Lower Austria,
Biohof Pratsch produces delicious organic wines. Run by young winemaker Stefan Pratsch and his parents Wilhelm and Anneliese, the winery espouses the belief, that (and pardon our rough translation) "organic wine is more than the omission of chemistry." This holistic view of grape-growing means that Pratsch embraces its role as a steward of the land and cares not just about the making (and marketing) of its wine, but is deeply concerned about the health of soil it comes from. This philosophy expresses itself in every glass of their wine; this unoaked Zweigelt possesses soft tannins, vibrant acidity and surprising length making it the perfect foil for lighter fare or for enjoying on its own.
