This Amaro was first created in 1815 in Milan, by Ausano Ramazzotti who was then only 20 years old. Although the recipe is a well-guarded secret (only 3 people in the world are privy to it), we do know that it contains 33 different herbs. While it’s not the oldest amaro on record, it is one of the most popular worldwide. It’s a medium-bodied amaro, with a balanced flavor both bitter and sweet. It is sure to please any and all fans of this traditional Italian spirit.
